Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei spends sleeping and drugs throughout the day, while most of the country has no access to clean water and electricity, according to a social media account linked to the National Intelligence Office of Israel.
“How can a leader lead if she sleeps half a day and spend the other half on fabrics?” The Farsi account of Mossad wrote on Friday on X. “Water, electricity, life!”
“Consuming drugs and talking with spirits are not desirable qualities for someone leading a country,” wrote the account on July 9.
The post came from a new X account with a premium subscription created last month and claimed to be the official Mossad spokesperson in Farsi – the official language of Iran – although the Israeli intelligence service did not officially confirm the ties of the account.

In the past month, the account has granted various items on the health of Khamenei and the state of Iran, including the lack of clean water, electricity and education.
“For everyone who contacts us through private messages, for your own security, make sure you use a VPN,” is the bio of the account.
A post on the account was about the designation of the newly appointed, but officially publicly found, commander of the headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya, the command head of the Iranian armed forces.
After the Tasnim press office, the semi-official news agency of Iran, the semi-official news agency with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that Iran would not reveal the identity of the commander for his protection, the Mossad-linked account said that it already knew the name and Drong at it.

The account responded to the “happy winner” who guessed the name Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi and told him to “contact us in private to receive your prize.”
The satirical jabs and provocative claims from the bill are different from the way in which the Mossad usually communicates with the public, but two intelligence experts told Jfeed, an Israeli news exit, that the unusual Mossad-Link account seems to be authentic.
“A part of the information it has shared could only have come from Mossad,” Beny Sabti, an Iran expert at the Israeli Institute for National Security Studies and a former IDF Persian-Taalf Office, told The Outlet.
The alleged drug use of Khamenei has been presented in the past, with an Iranian academic saying in 2022 that the Iranian supreme leader often uses drugs.

“Many viewers do not know this, but Khamenei uses drugs himself,” said Nour Mohamed Omara at that time on Muslim Brotherhood-Geliodde TV in Turkey.
“He has a special village in Balochistan, where the drugs used by the leader are produced,” the academic added. “This village is run by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and no one is allowed.”
The Ayatollah explained public drug use as “non-Islamic” after the Iranian Revolution of 1979. Punishing for drug-related crimes can include death.
