The CEO of McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski teased on social media that he might stay with the fast food giant for ten years.
Kempczinski celebrated a “big milestone” last week and marked for ten years at McDonald’s with an announcement on Instagram. He also made it clear that he was not going to leave quickly.
“Ten years at McDonald’s. Here is another ten,” he said in a video post.
After that message, Kempczinski shared another video and noticed: “Career paths often come with unexpected twists.”

“I have confronted a few on my journey, but they have always paid off somehow fruits,” he placed his followers at the same time to comment on the unexpected turns with which they were confronted during their travels.

Kempczinski officially took over as CEO in November 2019 and succeeded Steve Easterbrook after his removal by the board due to a policy violation. Since then, Kempczinski has been responsible for managing the growth strategy of McDonald’s called “accelerating the arches”.

Before that, Kempczinski served as president of McDonald’s USA, with the business activities of around 14,000 McDonald’s restaurants in the US.

He joined the FastFood icon in 2015 and arrived as the executive vice president for strategy, business development and innovation. In this role he worked closely with our managers and franchisees to identify innovative new ideas and best practices to speed up system growth, according to his company biopage page.

Before he worked at the Golden Arches, Kempczinski worked in Procter & Gamble in Procter & Gamble before taking senior positions in Pepsico, followed by Kraft Foods, where, according to McDonald’s he was appointed as Executive Vice President for Growthansen and President of International.
