An experienced British Skydiver – who died during a jump earlier this year – deliberately fell until her death, just one day after she and her partner ended their relationship.
Jade Damarell, 32, from Wales, fell into a field in County Durham, Noord -Engand, on April 27 and died of blunt trauma injuries, officials said The guardian. Coroner Leslie Hamilton ruled death as suicide during an investigation held on Thursday, the outlet reported.
Damarell – who registered more than 500 successful jumps in her career – deliberately did not manage to implement her main parachute and eliminated her automatic activation device, that a backup gutter would have released at a certain height and speed if a sky diver could not do this, the Guardian reported. Her equipment turned out to be functional after her fall, the outlet added.
Damarell had been out for eight months with Ben Goodfellow, a 26-year-old fellow sky diver, according to the Daily mail.

During the investigation, Hamilton summarized a note from Goodfellow, which stated that the couple “had ended their relationship the night before” Damarell took her life, the Guardian said.
“The night before Jade died, Ben called the relationship,” a friend told The Daily Mail.

“He went to work the next day, and then Jade fell to her death,” the friend added.
Damarell – the six skydiving jumped had completed the day before her death – usually wore a camera to catch her dives, but according to the Daily Mail there wasn’t one during her last jump.
