Sydney Sweeney is going to overthrow fans with a spring in her early look as groundbreaking boxer Christy Martin.
In the world premiere of the Toronto International Film Festival of “Christy” on Monday, the “Euphoria” actor is seen in the ring in full wild as Martin.
SEENEY’s transformation in the International Boxing Hall of Famer, who survived a shooting and stitches Attack by her then husband is remarkable. Last month she said that she performed weight twice a day, ate kickboxed as a champion and for hours to prepare for the role.
More than 30 pounds later she had the power to hit the screen home.
“My body was completely different,” She told w. “I didn’t fit in one of my clothes. I am usually a size 23 in jeans, and I wore a size 27. My breasts got bigger. And my ass got huge. It was crazy! I had something like that, oh my God. But it was great: I was so strong, like a crazy strong.”
“I am immersed in training to bring the story of an incredible woman to life – a real champion that fought both inside and outside the ring,” wrote Seveney. “Her journey is proof of resilience, strength and hope, and I am honored to get in her shoes to share her powerful story with you all.”
