The body of a stowaway has been found in the landing gear of one American Airlines Flee from Europe After it arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, the police confirmed.
Maintenance personnel found the body shortly after 9 hours on Sunday while maintaining the plane on Hangar Road within the airport division, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) said in a statement.
CMPD Airport Division officers responded and declared the individual deceased on the spot.

The murder of the department’s murder has opened an investigation, with search teams of the crime scene that collect evidence. CMPD Operations Command and Medic also helped, said civil servants.
“CLT Airport is aware of the tragic discovery in which a deceased person is found this morning in an American Airlines plane,” Charlotte Douglas Airport said spokesperson.

“We are deeply saddened by this news and will support Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) if necessary.”
The airline added: “A deceased person was discovered in one of the most important landing gesture compartments of one of our planes. Send further questions to local law enforcement.”

CMPD said that the case remains active and constantly, with additional details that must be provided when they become available.
