Philadelphia (AP) – Saquon Barkley has rejected an invitation to become a member of President Donald Trump’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, which is revitalized under an executive order that also recovers Presidential fitness test For American children.
Barkley, the 2,000-yard Rusher for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, was on a list of sport personalities with golfers Bryson Dechambeau and Nelly Korda, WWE director Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor and Retired New Yorko.
Barkley said on Monday after the practice of Eagles that he had actually refused the invitation.
“A few months ago it was brought to my team,” said Barkley. “So I am not really too familiar with it. I felt that I will be super busy. I and my family thought it would probably be important not to accept that. I was definitely a bit shocked when my name was mentioned. I assume it is something great, so I appreciate it a little shocked when my name was called.”
Last week Trump recovered the presidential fitness test for American children, a fixed value of public schools for decades that encourage the health and athletics of young people with 1 mile runs, sit-ups and stretching exercises.
“This is a wonderful tradition, and we bring it back,” Trump said about the fitness test that started in 1966 but was reduced during the Obama government.
The executive order also revived the National Sports Council that Barkley could have included.

“He thought it was great,” Trump then said about Barkley’s short flight in the presidential plane. “He is a great young guy and an incredible football player. Saquon had a season for the centuries, behind the most powerful attacking line in the NFL.”
In the meantime, Barkley pushed back on criticism of social media after the visit. He noticed that he had already corrupted with Obama, a Democrat.
“Maybe I just respect the office, not a difficult concept to understand,” Barkley posted on X.
