A recall is underway in the US for tens of thousands of chains and polar saws with electrically registered that can form a “cracking” for users.

The company posted on a webpage about the recall and said that “this recall was carried out to keep our customers safe and prevent injuries by removing the problem products.”

The problem has not caused known injuries or incidents.

The sale of the recalled sawing took place between September last year and March of this year at Walmart for the Hypertoer brand and port forces for the Portland brand, according to the CPSC recall knowledge. Positec gives affected customers a replacement saw after they have returned the recall. They must “contact Positec for a pre-paid shipping label and a new compartment if necessary, to return the units for free” to receive the replacement, according to the CPSC knowledge.
