Top security officer and former president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, said that Moscow should consider launching “preventive strikes” to the West while the US and his NATO fellow people raise defensive support for Ukraine.
“The statements of Western politicians on this subject are complete nonsense,” said Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, in an interview with State Media Outlet Tass, according to Reuters Reporting.
“We must act accordingly. To respond fully. And if necessary, launch preventive strikes,” he added.

The comments from Medvedev only come two days after President Donald Trump had announced secondary rates on Moscow by drawing 100% rates on countries that buy Russian oil if the Kremlin does not enter into a peace agreement with Ukraine in the coming 50 days.
