Rates will reset at the original April levels of President Donald Trump If countries do not close a new deal with the US by 1 August, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Sunday.
“Is it fair to say that there is a bit of a break on the deadline of July 9 for some of these trading partners?” Asked Brasem.

The comments from Bessent are amidst speculation that Trump can dismiss the Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell and be able to appoint berrous instead.
