Nowadays something big and unprecedented happens in Pittsburgh. The inaugural Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University is the clearest and most dramatic manifestation so far of the promises of President Donald Trump to make America energy dominant, to create advanced technology and jobs and opportunities for working families in Pennylvania.
In 2017, Mr. Trump said that he was chosen to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh, not Paris. ” Today in the Steel City I am proud of the president and more than 60 CEOs of the world’s most important companies and largest investors in my hometown to welcome more than $ 50 billion in new investments in energy, artificial intelligence (AI) and the development of the workforce all announce to ensure that pennsylvania. Despite the crucial link between AI and Energie, the leaders of the most important AI companies, energy producers and investors who have all been collected with the president have never been collected in a place that was ready to lead the technological future of the nation. To paraphrase a writer, since the days of Andrew Carnegie has gathered so much economic power in one Pittsburgh room.
These investments are of enormous consequences of Pennsylvania, but they are also crucial for the future of the nation. The deployment could not be higher: the AI revolution has the potential to transform the economic prospects and national security of our nation, but if the United States does not lead this revolution to our own conditions, we will hand over control over our infrastructure, our data, our leadership and our life of life to communist China.
Artificial intelligence feeds large technical partnerships with nuclear energy producers
Pennsylvania leads the management of the cargo for American energy and AI -Dominance. This is why.
First, we are blessed with an abundant and diverse mix of energy and natural resources, including one of the world’s largest natural gas reserves, abundant fresh water and an incredibly installed base of nuclear energy. These resources can meet the flowering demand for electricity to supply AI data centers with power.
Subsequently, Pennsylvania is full of talent to meet the needs of the AI revolution. Our economy brings together construction workers, steamfitters, drivers and countless other transactions that are needed to build data center infrastructure, together with universities of world class and research laboratories such as our host CMU who produces the next generation of engineers and scientists.
Finally, the Commonwealth all demonstrates the innovation and grit that is needed to lead this revolution. In the past decade, Pittsburgh has only incubated eight unicorns, and the generation-defining $ 14 billion investment chairman Trump that is secured for US Steel, Pittsburgh will hold a center for advanced production for the coming decades. More is on the Horizon, with an attempt to build a new LNG export terminal along the Delaware River and innovative companies such as EOS Energy Enterprises Production of zinc-driven energy storage in the Mon Valley.
All these benefits are within 500 miles of almost half of the American population. Pennsylvania is not only the most important swing -state in American politics, but also an economic and industrial juggernaut.
But our success depends on how we use these assets. The future will not build itself.
During the top, companies, investors and workers will make a mutual commitment to build up in Pennsylvania. We need to build more turbines, nuclear strength plants and transmission lines to provide the chips -training -ai models with power. We have to build an even stronger workforce of skilled employees to build this infrastructure through vocational training and apprenticeships. And we have to build a world-class education system, from K-12 to higher ED, to prepare the next generation for the AI-driven jobs of the future.

No special handouts or industrial policy devised in Washington played in the game today, the Keystone State’s own assets are the reason behind these investments, which we saw last month with Amazon’s $ 20 billion deployment to build AI data agents in Pennsylvania. Jobs and economic growth do not have a party relationship. I will work with everyone, Republican or Democrat, who shares my dedication to place Pennsylvanians in the center of energy and AI revolutions.

Nothing of this would be possible without the sea change in President Trump’s policy: Energy Dominance, Support for Workers, a hug of foreign investments in the United States, and an absolute dedication to rebuild the industrial capacity of America and to guarantee AI leadership in the long term. This agenda has balanced private capital and unleashes a new wave of industrial development and the creation of jobs throughout America.
The long way of American industry and innovation has always been led by the Keystone State. Pennsylvania is the place where America has drilled its first commercial oil source, built the arsenal of democracy with Monongahela steel and has fueled an energy evolution in the Marcellus scable. The Commonwealth can again lead. The investments announced today in Pittsburgh are a crucial step in that direction. Let’s go to work now.
