OpenAI CEO Sam Altman explains how GPT-5 will influence the business community and entrepreneurs on ‘Morning’s with Maria’.
OpenAi continues the push in the direction of an artificial intelligence future. After the launch of GPT-5, the company announced a new initiative on Thursday to certify people in the use of AI, together with retail power patient Walmart to make it happen.
In a release, OpenAi CEO of Applications Fidji Simo wrote: “Studies show that AI-SAVVY employees are more valuable, more productive and paid more than employees without AI skills. That is why we have launched the OpenAI Academy earlier this year, a free online learning platform that has helped more than 2 million people.
“Now we are going to expand the academy by offering certifications for different levels of AI fluity, from the basic principles of using AI at work all the way to AI-CUSTOM jobs and rapid engineering.”
OpenAi set a goal to certify 10 million people by 2030 and receives help from Walmart, one of the company’s launch partners.

By bringing AI training directly to our employees, we place the most powerful technology of our time in their hands to rewrite the skills and the skills form” “”

In August, OpenAi GPT-5 unveiled and called it an important upgrade of its predecessors and an important step forward in building the possibilities of large language models.
OpenAi CEO Sam Altman described the model as “like a team of Ph.D.-level experts in your pocket.” Altman also believes that GPT -5 is an important step to achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI).

In the release that the certification announced, Simo said: “If we want to put more power in the hands of more people, not just a happy couple, we have to help everyone, at every level, take advantage of the opportunities that are delivered at AI. We still have a long way to go, but this is an important step in the right direction.”
