On Independence Day, President Donald Trump signed the most consistent federal school choice legislation in the history of our nation, and explained educational freedom as a new right for students and families throughout America. This historical legislation, part of one, large, beautiful Bill Act, will help American education get back on track and improve opportunities for generations of Americans.
Quality education is fundamental for success; It is the key to unlock the American dream, and as Tim Scott rightly says, closest to magic in America.
For too long, however, parents are forced to accept a one-size-fits-all approach to education that often does not work and who has failed millions of students for decades. These failures influence disproportionately disproportionate families with low income and minorities, whose children are often trapped in failing schools without alternatives.

It is a system that led to test scores that remain in the rest of the world, poor literacy, too many children who give up and put out of school – and ultimately a failure to properly teach our rising generation.

The consequences of academic failure are much more consistent than just a figure to fail. Poor academic performance drastically increases the risk of poverty, imprisonment, unemployment and drug abuse. When a child does not reach his or her potential, it hurts society. It hurts us all.
It was long past the time for Washington to act – and we did that decisively.
Giving parents the opportunity to choose the school that best meets the individual needs of their child, is about more than just test scores – the point is that every child gives a real chance of success.
One, large, beautiful Bill Act prepares the first of the core of the child Tax Credit Scholarship Program for all types of educational institutions. From 2027, private individuals receive a dollar for dollar tax credit of up to $ 1,700 per year for donations to educational non-profit organizations that finance K-12 grants for students with low and middle income.
Eligible scholarships may relate to tuition fees, books, tutoring, transport, uniforms, services with special needs and educational technology. Parents and students receive these scholarships tax -free.
Trump just scored the largest conservative victory in three decades
The result? Dozens of billions of dollars for trade fairs are made available to K-12 students throughout America. Millions of families can now send their children to a school that matches their values and beliefs. Parents can regain control of the training of their children.
Thirty states currently have at least one private school choice program that is currently in force. The determination of the freedom of education that we defended – and President Trump has signed the law – now gives every state a choice: will they give new opportunities to students, or will they bow to the requirements of the bosses of the Union?
Unfortunately, every Democrat voted in the congress against the most important legislation on civil rights of the 21st century. But President Trump and the Republican Congress delivered.
It was our responsibility to resolve a broken system. Our own parents worked hard and sacrificed to give us opportunities they have never had. And we want the same – and more – for today’s children.
As a nation is the truth that we need more. We cannot stay the most prosperous, entrepreneurs, groundbreaking nation on earth if we do not set our children for success.

By creating multiple paths to high -quality education, we ensure that no child remains imprisoned in an unsafe or failing school. Millions of students with low and middle income of all breeds and backgrounds will now benefit greatly from billions in new fairs. And new hope and opportunities.
The right education can change the course of a child’s life. We know this. Our founders knew this. And now every child in America has the right to access an excellent education – regardless of race, income or postcode.
Ten, 20, 30 years from now on we will look back on this groundbreaking school choice as the most important part of one, large, beautiful account.
