The Legacy Media Cover Cover Congressional Hearings based on their usual standard of newsworthiness. This is: if they are run by Democrats and are intended to push them to political power, they are presented as the most urgent, sober and non -party news of the day. But hearing of Republicans to bring a Republican argument home? They often do not see the light of a TV studio.
On June 18, the senate committee of the Senate held a hearing to investigate the assets of former President Joe Biden to be in office against the end of his presidency. After his disastrous debate performances, the Democrats forced him from the presidential race, but let him in function despite his apparent incapacity for work. This was somehow purely partizan, and not something that most Americans viewed with serious care. The Democrats Boycoten usually the hearing on Wednesday.
At the top, Senator John Cornyn, R-Texas: “I will notice that few of my democratic colleagues are here today. Thanks to Senator Welch from Vermont for the fact that they are here, leaving no option other than to take the boycott of this hearing as an admission of guilt for their role in this crisis.”
Sen. Peter Welch, D-VT., And Senator Dick Durbin, D-On., Only briefly come to reject the hearing as a ‘political adventure’. The broadcast networks have skipped it all. Their “news assessment” is clearly closely matched to the democratic objectives.
Democrats Boycot in the hope that people would conclude that if this is not a dual hearing, how can it be newsworthy? Consider the house Special Commission for the attack of January 6, or in short, the Pelosi-picked panel. The then speaker Nancy Pelosi fragped the usual procedure by not allowing the Republicans to place their own choices in the committee. Instead, she selected representatives. Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger to be Potemkin Republicans. They have never strayed from the story of Pelosi for several years of wild about published hearings that were granted uniform live coverage, during the day and prime time.
On Wednesday, the media certainly did not want to hear what the Republican witnesses said about their pathetic performance. Former Secretary Sean Spicer from Trump called on the media because of their remarkable lack of curiosity about Biden’s failure: “The left and their friends in the media like to recruit terms as threats for democracy, and constitutional crisis … If we have no trust in a station of the Free World that decisions” “

In the night of the hearing, “NBC Nightly News” led with a non-guilty verdict for Karen Read, in Massachusetts for the killing of her friend of the police officer. That report took place for five minutes. ABC’s “World News Tonight” also gave it almost five minutes after leading with Trump and Iran. Both networks have also been obsessed with “20/20” and “Dateline NBC” in Prime Time for two hours. “True Crime” sells.
The “PBS News Hour”, funded by the taxpayer, offered eight sad minutes at the Supreme Court, allowing Tennessee’s ban on so-called “gender-confirming care” for children.
On “CBS Evening News Plus” they turned to reporter Manuel Bojorquez to question Florida Ron Desantis’s decision to suggest Marva Johnson, as the new president of Florida A & M University, the only HBCU of the state. He praised “a groundswell of students and alumni from the historic Black College against her selection.” Groundswell? The CBS station in Tallahassee reported “at least 10” demonstrators.

‘All Things Coreceded’ of the National Public Radio does not consider Republicans much except to condemn them. They offered a five-minute story about the sad state of business racing hustling. Co-host Mary Louise Kelly announced: “Chief Diversity Officer was once the most popular job of business America. Now Dei is being attacked, leaving people a career in diversity, fairness and inclusion in the cold.”
Several of these broadcast networks have tackled the reality of the cognitive decline of Biden during the book promotion tour of CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson. For his part, Tapper did not respond to his show “The Lead” on Wednesday, where you would of course coordinate to check what he did. But on Wednesday he asked a neutral question about the hearing with Alabama Republican Senator Katie Britt on Wednesday, while CNN concentrated attentively on Israel and Iran.
The legacy media who skip over Republican guided hearings and whatever news, underlines the underlining why Americans look conservative media to treat what liberals want to bury. As Sean Spicer said during the hearing: “We have seen what the old media did, but that is why the growth of independent media is so healthy for our democracy.”

Democrats and their allies of broadcast news are framing scandal hearings that they like as another Watergate, Iran-Contra, January 6, die “History” as tilting against those unethical Republicans. They prefer that the American people never remember that Republicans were holding something hearing.
So when journalists brag that they offer ‘the first version of history’, everyone must know that they are served a particial pupu dish.
