Netflix subscribers in the US can expect to pay more every month as the streaming giant increases prices on all its subscriptions.
Updated pricing on the company’s US website shows the ad-supported tier at $8.99 per month, up from $7.99, while the Standard plan costs $19.99 and the Premium tier costs $26.99.
The cost of adding members outside a subscriber’s household has also increased, with additional members costing $7.99 per month for ad-supported plans and $9.99 for ad-free plans. Netflix says accounts are intended for use within a single household, with additional charges for users who don’t live together.

Netflix, which has more than 325 million subscribers worldwide, previously scrapped its cheapest ad-free “basic” plan, allowing customers to choose between more expensive tiers or an ad-supported option.

The price changes were first reported by Reuters, which said the increases come as Netflix expands into additional content formats, including video podcasts and live programming.

Analysts expect the higher prices to boost the amount Netflix earns per subscriber, with estimates pointing to annual growth of about 6% in the US-Canada region by 2026.

Netflix last adjusted its prices in early 2025. The company reported $12.1 billion in revenue for the October-December quarter, slightly ahead of analyst expectations.
