MSNBC is leaving. But do not throw a tear (at least not that you would do that), it is now in MS. Or, as the New York Times expressed it, “goodbye, msnbc. Hello, ms now.” The extreme left-wing network lost its draw to the Newsy term “NBC” and looks more like a feminist renewed site.
Or, as MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler said, “While our name will change, who we are and what we do will not.” So maybe my viewers assessment is correct. It is like rebleming the Titanic. Of course, the ship may have made a career to hit icebergs, but it has a new name.
The consequences of the change was fast. The Times even took a wipe with the follow -up head: “MSNBC’s Rebrand invites Bemusement and Ridicule.”
MSNBC to change the name to ‘MS Now’ in Comcast Spinoff -Deal
The name switch reflects Marketing -Zonerzin as part of the business split. It also eliminates the long -term comparison with MSDNC. The rationalization for the new name is: “My source for news, opinion and the world.” CNBC will keep its name, according to the Wall Street Journal, but the initials mean something else – “consumer news and business channel”, another marketing nuance.

The new company comprises “NBCUIVERSAL’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, Syfy and Golf Channel” together with a few other properties, including the previously useful rotten Tomatoes film site. Just no NBC pauwen.
It should be a crime for the media to treat DC takeover so badly
But this is what that all means. Nobody Sane wants MSNBC/MS to be connected to NBC in one way or another. It has been a shame of companies for years. They are fine that it looks like the rational people of CNBC are still connected, but the madness of MSNBC is being renamed. It removes the stain for NBC. That is impossible for MSNBC.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
This is the same network where they repeatedly compare President Donald Trump with monsters such as Hitler and Stalin. Hosts regularly throw the charges of dictatorship as we live in Germany from the 1930s – although they can say it in one way or another. Host Tiffany Cross recently claimed that the government grabbed people and “transported them to concentration camps”. And the face of the franchise, MSNBC -Gastheer Rachel Maddow, the viewers told: “We have a consolidating dictatorship in our country.”
Do not forget that the “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough has made the most famous quote from the whole failed Joe Biden Presidential: “I have said it for years, he is convincing. But I have the distinction when I said he was convincing, he is much further than to tell you the truth now.” Starts your tape now. ” And f — you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden, intellectual, analytical, is the best Biden ever. “

MSNBC-Gastheer Nicolle Wallace even cursed even about President Donald Trump for trying to arrange a peace agreement in Ukraine and called him: “An American president who just doesn’t give S — about democracy,” she moaned. That claim that the law attacks “democracy” is another MSNBC standard.
Make no mistake, this is not a new insanity from the Trump era in the then network. Several insane MSNBCcitates made a news busters list (hint: my old workplace) for their list of the “the most absurd and annoying eruptions” of the past 20 years. Really, MSNBC has a leading role.

Here is a quote from 2009 from the late Ed Schultz Raving on MSNBC’s “The Ed Show”, “The Republicans Lie! They want to see you die! They would rather earn money with your dead look! They like it a bit if that woman has cancer and they have nothing for her.” If there is something, the network has only become worse.

It is not as if the old MSNBC butt kicked with reviews. Ad Week reported on August 13, “MSNBC, in Primetime, on average 821,000 in total viewers.” That is better than CNN, but they could beat the German championships for shopping carts. (Yes, they really exist. Pushing a cart/buggy in the grain from a distance.) For those who forgot, MSNBC started as a partnership between Microsoft and NBC. The MS used to mean a technology company, not someone who demanded to know your pronouns. The network is said to have had recruitment problems lately. So expect even worse as soon as the split takes place.
Now, Ahem, madam now, we have a new network that promises to be exactly the same, but to build a new brand. Maybe they should try, miss it. Or just buy Titanic.com. It would be appropriate.
