Speaker Mike Johnson has shut down the House of Representatives for a month because he thinks he can push Democrats to pass his CR. Johnson is also tied to an unpopular agenda daily questions about why he is still not an elected Congressman for the Democratic Rep. has sworn.
Johnson has created a swamp for himself at the behest of Donald Trump.
This is all happening at Trump’s direction.
Speaker Johnson has retreated into the fantasy that the No Kings protest would be violent and that the left would be more violent than the right.
Johnson’s daily press conferences moved from the government shutdown to the speaker trying to portray the left as violent.
Last weekend there was a 1/6 criminal that Donald Trump pardoned arrested again for threatening to kill House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).
At his Tuesday government shutdown press conference, Johnson was asked: “Mr. Speaker, to return to the threat against Hakeem Jeffries, this is one of a number of individuals who, pardon me, have been re-arrested on various charges as a result of January 6. Did President Trump make a mistake by merely offering a blanket pardon? For every individual who has been arrested as a result of this convicted?”
If you thought Mike Johnson would criticize Trump for pardoning all 1/6 criminals, you’d be wrong.
