The Trump government has a number of very strange and some would say delusions about the likely upcoming closure of the government.
An official of the White House quoted by Polico said:
“We are going to extract maximum pain,” said the civil servant, granted anonymity to discuss the political strategy, adding that Democrats “will pay a huge price for this.”
“Historically, it is the aggressor that always loses,” said the high official of the White House. “And simply, their constituencies and their priorities will all be chewed, and ours, not so much.”
Did you know that all previous closures of the government were named after the president, among whom they took place?
The opposition party has never been blamed for a government’s closure. There was the Clinton -Hutdown, the Obama -Hutdown and the Trump closure.
The idea that the end of 2025 will be different seems like a fantasy, especially because the approval classification of Trump sinks like a stone.
Speaker of the house Mike Johnson seems to take direct orders from Trump, because Jake Sherman from Punchbowl News has been placed on X:
House Republican Leadership may not bring the house back all next week. They think the ball is at the Court of the Senate. And they will return when they have to pass an account.
Mike Johnson firmly drinks the Orange Trump Kool-Aid while he thinks that if he keeps the house closed, Senate Democrats will caves.
There is a big problem with this way of thinking.
