A man who has a distorted, revisionist theory about the Holocaust and the history of Jewish suffering has a real chance of becoming the mayor of the largest populated Jewish city outside of Israel.
Let that sink. A man who was asked to ‘globalize the Intifada’, a violent, cruel series against Jews throughout Israel, and refused to do this, can become mayor of New York City.
“For me, what I ultimately hear in so much a desperate desire for equality and equal rights to stand up for Palestinian human rights,” Zohran Mamdani said, especially without regret.

He never withdrawn and decided instead of apologizing with the Jewish community, to take the time to talk about Islamophobia. Yes, that is a very real problem, and I worked hard to fight myself during my own career. But this was a moment for Mamdani to show the Jewish world that he is empathetic and can admit when he made a mistake.
He didn’t do it. He just said, “It hurts me to be called an anti -Semite.” Well, if Jewish leaders call you an anti -Semite, including the Holocaust Memorial Museum of the United States, you might have to talk to us to see why we believe that this is the case.

A mayor who openly protested Jewish students on campus and started a students for justice in the Palestine chapter will certainly not be friendly to Jews who do not meet his Tokenized criteria of what makes a good Jew.
His support for BDS is another shocking reality with which Jewish New Yorkers can be confronted if he wins the general elections of November. Simply put, anti-zionism is the latest form of anti-Semitism. Anti-Zionism denies Jews the right to self-defense. Anti-Zionism denies the historical relationship between the Jewish people and the land of Israel.

Moreover, according to Polico, this is a man who refused to sponsor a bill Condemn the Holocaust. His rhetoric is simply unacceptable and indefensible. Since that article, Mamdani had accused politico of making “unfounded accusations” and “falsely claiming that I refused to condemn the Holocaust,” the publication reported at that time.
In May 2024, Mamdani introduced the anti -Semitic “Not on our cent” BillTry to rid Jewish non-profit organizations that support Israel of their tax-free status. Needless to say, it was rejected by the New York legislators as a “non -starter”.

Imagine what would have happened in New York City if the 12-day war of Iran and Israel took place with Mamdani as mayor. Do you think Jewish New Yorkers would feel safe? Do you think there would be extra protection with synagogues and Jewish events?
The answer is emphatically no.

In April, the NYPD 41 anti -Semitic hate crimes reported the highest since 45 incidents in June 2024. I am really afraid of speculating what will happen if Mamdani becomes mayor and the anti -Semitic gangs with which he is associated with empowered.
This is a challenging time for Jewish New Yorkers. In the words that are often attributed to the Anglo-Irish philosopher and statesman Edmund Burke, “is all that is needed for evil to be triumph for good men to do nothing.”

We call on men and women of goodwill of all religions and ethnic groups to elevate their voice in screaming protest and to call Mamdani’s flagrant anti-Semitic and anti-Israeli rhetoric and Diatribe.
