Traders on the Kalshi forecast market platform now place the chance of a democratic socialist ZOHRAN MAMDANI Winning the New York Mayoral Race at 84%, after mayor Eric Adams His re -election campaign ended only five weeks before the election day.
Former Gov. Andrew CuomoHe drives like an independent, follows the next most likely competition, where Kalshi gamblers assign him a 16% chance of conquering the top office of the city.
In the meantime, the Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa areading to 2%.

The trading volume, or the total dollar amount that was used on this market, is just north of $ 28 million.

Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist Start Start, has placed affordability in the center of his campaign to lead the largest city in America. He has campaigned in free buses, city ownership in the city and rental stores for tenants in rent-stabilized apartments.

Adams announced his decision to leave the mayor’s race in a video of almost nine minutes on social media.
“It was an honor to be your mayor,” Adams said in his announcement, emphasizing what he described as performance with regard to crime reduction, affordability of housing and economic recovery during his office.

“And yet, despite everything we have achieved, I can’t continue my re -election campaign,” he said, adding that he was unable to collect the money for a “serious campaign”.

He offered no indications about his plans after leaving his office and did not endeavor any of the remaining candidates.

The move closed weeks of speculation about his withdrawal to benefit Cuomo, even if Mamdani has maintained an impressive lead.
