Images broadcast on the state media on Monday showed that dictator Kim Jong Un became emotional while he was mourning for the coffin of North Korean troops who are said to have been killed while fighting for Russia in his war with Ukraine.
The images, released by the Korean central television and reported by Yonhap News Agency in South Koreashowed Kim who placed a North Korean flag on a coffin.
The images were broadcast as part of a cultural performance on Sunday in the East Pyongyang Grand Theater, held on the occasion of the one -year anniversary of the “extensive strategic partnership” treaty of North Korea with Moscow.

Kim, accompanied by Foreign Minister Choe Son-Hui, was shown next to the coffin, hands pressed and lips tightly closed.

Yonhap reported that other images in the broadcast contain photos of North Korean soldiers alongside Russian troops, as well as a blood -stained notebook that is reportedly recovered from the battlefield in the Kursk region in Russia.
Allegedly the notebook contained a message that read: “The decisive moment finally came” and “let’s brave this holy fight fighting with the boundless love and trust that our beloved supreme commander is given”, referring to Kim.

Also present at the ceremony was the Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, who, according to Yonhap, threw away the tears. Others in the audience were seen the same.

Hong Min, a senior analyst at the Korea Institute for National Unification, Yonhap said that the images that were designed to form a “victory story” after joint operations in Ukraine.
