Abbas Araghchi was quoted as making the comment to CBS News after President Donald Trump told last Wednesday that the US would meet Iranian officials this week.
“I don’t think the negotiations will restart so quickly,” Araghchi added. “To be able to communicate again, we must first ensure that America will not return to focusing on us in a military attack during the negotiations. And I think we still need more time with all these considerations.”
