‘The Big Money Show’ panel responds to new data showing that Gen Z hiring has collapsed, while older workers are staying in the workforce longer.
Home Depot announced Wednesday that it is cutting 800 jobs associated with its store support center in Atlanta.
The company also said it would require its corporate employees to return to the office full-time, five days a week.
The company said its goal is to “drive greater agility and position the company to move faster and stay even more closely connected to our frontline employees.”

While the home improvement retailer called the layoffs a “difficult decision,” it said it would offer affected employees separation packages, transition benefits and job-finding support.
According to Reuters, Home Depot forecast a sharp drop in profits in fiscal 2025 in its latest quarterly results.

The retailer’s staff changes came after numerous companies announced job cuts.
Amazon said Wednesday it will cut about 16,000 positions across the company as part of an organizational overhaul aimed at “reducing layers, increasing ownership and eliminating bureaucracy.”
United Parcel Service said Tuesday it plans to cut up to 30,000 operational positions this year as part of its transformation strategy.
