Following Hamas’s release of all 20 remaining living hostages held in Gaza on Monday, photos and videos are pouring in of their families being reunited.
The hostages have returned to Israel, where they will undergo medical checks after 738 days of captivity. Their release was part of a deal aimed at ending two years of war.
When Guy Gilboa-Dalal met his family at the first shelter after his release, his family screamed and hugged him so tightly that they clung to him as they entered another room. Moments later, the group posed for a photo.
Israeli twins Gali and Ziv Berman, 28, were all smiles as they were handed over to the IDF and saw each other face to face. Previously released hostages said the twins from Kfar Aza were being held separately.

Photos of the first seven hostages released Monday showed them looking pale but less thin than some of the hostages released in January.
“Generations from now will be remembered as the moment when everything began to change,” President Donald Trump said in a more than 40-minute speech to Israel’s Knesset on Monday.

The war began when Hamas-led militants launched a surprise attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, killing around 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 hostage.
