GSA hits Google AI deal for federal agencies

The General Services Administration (GSA) announced a new agreement with Google on Thursday to implement its series of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud services in the federal government.

The deal comes as part of the “America Ai Action Plan” of the Trump government and will pay federal agencies $ 0.47 per agency to use Google’s ai -toolsIncluding a new Gemini for the supply of the government. The deal is valid until 2026 and builds on the earlier agreement under which Google Workspace has been provided to all federal agencies at a price reduction of 71%.

The GSA deal with Google comes as part of the ONEGOV initiative for purchasing at federal agencies, which also held deals for AI tools such as OpenAi’s Chatgpt for $ 1 and that offered by Anthropic for $ 1.

Dahut explained that the offer “is aimed at helping the government to really transform the operations” and “reduces the toil the federal workforce” by enabling employees to spend more time on activities with a higher value.
