TOP STORY: Hamas agreed to Trump-brokered peace deal to end Gaza war and release hostages Nobel Peace Prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado instead of President Trump. Under the first phase of the deal, Israel will withdraw along agreed lines once the hostages are released, possibly as soon as Monday. Despite widespread support for the coveted prize, which was awarded early Friday, Trump did not join former presidents Barack Obama, Jimmy Carter, Woodrow Wilson and Theodore Roosevelt as Nobel laureates.
VIEW OF HUGH: Columnist Hugh Hewitt argues that any discussion of the war between Israel and Hamas must begin in commemoration of the Hamas-led invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023killing more than 1,100 people, injuring 5,000 and taking 250 hostages.
