The Georgia native is survived by his wife Britney and three children. Britney shared this on social media on Saturday Terrance died after “what should have been a simple procedure,” and asked for prayers for her family.
“He loved his children with everything he had,” Britney wrote. “He loved coaching the youth and those guys absolutely loved him.”
Omaha Storm Chasers, the Royals’ Triple-A affiliate, posted a message in tribute Gross.
“We join the Gross family and the baseball world in mourning the passing of Terrance Gross” wrote the Storm Chasers. “Known for his great speed, but even more for his friendliness and cheerful smile, Terrance I will be remembered as a great teammate and a dedicated family man.”
