Former CDC director Susan Monarez testifies about her resignation before the Senate’s health, labor, labor and pensions committee on Wednesday morning and what she says about the agenda of HHS secretary RFK Jr.
Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) asked Monarez: “Why did you believe it was so important to you to refuse to refuse vaccine recommendations with rubber stamp without seeing them behind them. Where did you fear for the worst-case scenario if you had agreed to do that?”
The former CDC director replied: “I refuse to do it because I have built up a career about scientific integrity and my worst fear was that I would be in a position to approve something that would reduce the access of life -saving vaccines to children and others they need.”
Later Sanders asked: “What are the long -term implications for the well -being of our children in the future of our country when the faith in vaccine science decreases?”
Monarez replied:
I believe that to prevent diseases will return. And I believe we have damaged our children for things that we know do not have to be harmed by.
Polio, measles, diphtheria and whooping cough. I am worried about the consequences for those children in illness and in death. I am worried about our school systems. I am worried that our medical institutions have to take care of sick children who could have been prevented through effective and safe vaccines. I am worried about the future of trust in public health.
RFK Jr. Makes children in danger and does not make them healthier with his anti-vaccine agenda. It is one thing to study vaccines, but a completely different thing to biased against vaccines and to make decisions without scientific evidence.
The HHS secretary has no experience with public health and is not a doctor or a scientist. What Kennedy does is weaken the country and set up Americans to get sick and possibly die.
This is a deliberate self -inflicted wound caused by Trump and RFK Jr. The testimony of the former CDC director is devastating because it uncovers the real agenda of the administration, so that America does not become healthy, but to undermine confidence in public health.
What do you think of the testimony and the agenda of RFK Jr. Let’s discuss it in the comments below.
