The 849 Testarossa plug-in Hybrid brings back the classic name and replaces the SF90 Stradale in the range.
It has a Mid-Rear Turbo V8 engine with 830 hp and is linked to three electric motors to deliver a total of 1,050 hp-50 more than the Stradale. The new vehicle also has an on-demand four-wheel drive system.

Ferrari said the New Testarossa will be able to reach a top speed of more than 205 miles per hour, with a zero-to-62 time of 2.3 seconds.
The original Testarossa was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show from 1984, to replace the Ferrari 512 BBI. The name, Italian for “Red Head”, is a tribute to the racing cars of the automaker from the late 1950s and early 1960s inclusive of the 250 Testa Rossa with red-painted cylinder heads.

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa delivers a total of 1,050 hp.
The starting price of the 849 Testarossa has been set at 460,000 euros ($ 540,000) for the coupe and at 500,000 euros ($ 586,000) for the Spider version, with first deliveries to customers planned, in the second and third quarter of next year, starting with Europe.

Deliveries to American customers are expected to start about three months later, at higher prices due to import rates.

Ferrari, led by CEO Benedetto Vigna, rolls out new models and is also preparing to start next month to present its first electric vehicle, part of a three-phase process with a world premiere next spring.
It will break Ferrari’s tradition of roaring engines with gasoline, although Vigna has again confirmed that the company would continue to make gasoline and hybrid cars, together with EVs.

In April, Ferrari launched the new Hybrid 296 special and its convertible version, based on the 2021 Ferrari 296, the other hybrid model of the house, which now approached the end of his life cycle.
As part of the typical aggressive path of new model releases, Ferrari also presented the PUUR petrol-driven Amalfi Coupe in July, to replace and upgrade the successful Roma 2019 in the entrance segment of its reach.
