Trump also called on Epstein’s survivors to hold a public hearing:
Give these victims the opportunity to testify under oath before Congress with the power of sworn testimony. Every woman should have the opportunity to tell her story publicly, if she chooses, and her testimony should be permanently included in the congressional record. Then, and only then, will we know the truth.
A first lady who can’t stand living in the White House and spends most of her time MIA from her duties randomly showed up and held a press conference to talk about Epstein.
It was all very strange.
It was also something a group of Epstein survivors didn’t buy.
The survivors released a statement after the press conference:
Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein have already shown extraordinary courage by coming forward, filing reports and giving testimonies.
Asking more of them now is a distraction from responsibility, not justice.
