President Donald Trump expressed his “complete and total support” for Jake Paul at a rally in Kentucky on Wednesday – but the YouTuber-turned-boxer is not yet running for office.
“I’m going to make a prediction that you will run for political office in the not-too-distant future,” Trump told Ohio-born Paul. “And you have my complete and total support!”
“OK?” Trump added. “That’s what we want. He’s an incredible guy. Lots of courage, smart guys.”
Paul appeared with Trump at a packaging plant in Hebron, Kentucky, a few hundred miles from where the former Disney Channel star grew up in the Cleveland area.
“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage,” Paul said. “We never shy away from a fight.”
“God has us, Trump has us,” he added.
Paul’s turn to boxing culminated in a huge victory over an aging Mike Tyson in 2024. But Paul hit a roadblock when his jaw was broken during a knockout loss to former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in December 2025. He said he’s still months away of being able to spar.
That could give him time to think about his political prospects.
But Logan Paul disagreed with Trump’s condemnation of his brother’s Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show.
