Trump and Senate Majority Leader John Thune are conspiring to try to kill the bill to force the release of the Epstein files in the Senate after it passes the House of Representatives, likely with overwhelming support.
Senate Democrats do not have the discharge petition tool to force votes on legislation, and Mike Johnson and John Thune’s plan appears to be focused on the House of Representatives passing the bill and Thune burying it in the Senate.
Speaker Johnson said while speaking to reporters Tuesday morning:

Republicans are trying to run out the clock to make this legislation go away.
The Democrats in the Senate will not play along.
