Harley-Davidson remembers more than 82.100 Softail motorcycles because of a defective part that can damage the rear tire and suddenly let it lose pressure.
Said the company in a report Filed Earlier This Month With The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) That the Recalled 2018-2019 FLDE, 2018-2021 FLHC, 2018-2024 FLHCS, 2018 and 2023 FLHCS ANV, 2020-2024 Motorcs, 2022-2024 Have a certain type of rear shock adjuster mounting tab installed that could possibly break.

The mounting tab break could be touched by the controller of the rear tire and graves in it, so that the tire would suddenly lose pressure, according to the recall report.
“A sudden loss of tire pressure increases the risk of a crash,” said the NHTSA.
The company plans to send owners of the potentially affected Softail motorcycles a letter that informs them about the recall in mid-June.
Owners must be maintained according to the recall by an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer to solve the problem.
They can expect the dealers to install “new hardware” that “includes a new bracket that limits the movement of the pre-load controller and also prevents the regulator from making contact with the rear tire,” said the recall report. It will be free.

Some of the 82.100 Softail engine bikes currently recalled were previously “repaired” under a separate recall and “will have to complete the new remedy”, the NHTSA noted. That recall took place in August 2023 and met more than 65,200 bicycles.
Harley-Davidson said in the last NHTSA Recall-Report that it did not use reports of crashes or injuries arising from the issue.
“Other Softail models that use a different style of rear shock department are not included in this recall,” the company also noted in the recall report.
There is a page on the Harley-Davidson website where motor owners can check whether their bike is subject to a recall using their vehicle identification number. The fin can usually be found on the steering head or a label that is applied to the right side of the tube on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, according to the web page.
