A woman who poisoned four family members, killing three of them is confronted with life in prison after a jury has found her guilty of murder by Mushrooms.
Erin Patterterson invited the mother of her alienated husband, father, aunt and uncle to have lunch in her house in the southern state of Victoria in Australia in July 2023 and served them made Wellington made with Death Cap Champignons.

Alienated husband Simon decided not to be present at the last minute and Patterson was originally accused of his attempted murder, although she was never confronted with those charges before the court.

A doctor who treated the victims of poisoning says he had looked at her and knew something was wrong.
In an interview with the ABC news from Australia, Arts Webster said that he had asked Patterson where she had received the mushrooms.

“When she did not respond in a way that it would immediately have explained as a tragic accident, that is, from that moment in my mind, she was guilty,” he said.
“She was bad and very smart to have planned it all and to do it, but was not entirely every ‘me’ and crosses every ‘t.”
Although public prosecutors could not find a specific motive for the murders, Australian media reported that in it, who had worked as an accountant and also an air traffic controller, hated her ex-husband, Simon, because he had not done his share in household tasks. In messages to online friends, the Triple-Moorder said that she had to hire a cleaner because of Simon’s refusal to help through the house. The couple has two children together.

The legal team of Patterson has 28 days to appeal against the conviction. If there is no profession, she will probably be convicted in August and will be confronted with life behind bars.
