If you think of New England, they often think of charming small university cities, the freezing of winters and funny accents, but there is something else that must be added to this list: the region is the most heavily bright gerremandered, in favor of Democrats, of every history.
RediSdicting is currently the hottest story in America, because the state laws Texas, some to New England, have fled to stop a vote to change the congress card in the Lone Star State, and probably give Republicans five house seats in Washington DC
Democratic strategist says that the party is missing ‘moral authority’ about the redistribution of Texas
But when it comes to drawing districts to close the minority party, what is really what Gerymeering is, New England Democrats have a perfect record: there are 21 house seats spread over six states and no Gop representative.
To be honest, a Republican would win a home race about just as likely in 1860 Mississippi as a New England in 2025.

Democrats will prevent that it is a very liberal region, or that no card can be made in a state like Massachusetts to accommodate a Gop chair. But in fact there are millions of republicans in New England. President Trump almost won New Hampshire in 2024 and Maine has a Republican senator (at least species) in Susan Collins.
It was not so long ago that the former Republican governor of Massachusetts became the Gop -presidential nomine in the form of Mitt Romney, so it is not like New England is hidden from conservatives, they simply do not get a representation.
The only other region that comes close to this kind of conference balance is the large plains, with only three democrats from 18 house seats. But again, they are not republicans who call Gerrymendersing who call such a threat to democracy that laws should be violated to stop.
And to borrow a sentence from an anti-drug advertisement from the eighties, “they learned from looking at you, Democrats.”
These Texas Democrats have run away from their duties to rule in the protest of a practice that has absolutely perfected their party, you can’t get better than 21-0.

At the end of the day, the redevelopment of house chairs is inherently subjective. Many things can be taken into account when making the cards; Geographical proximity, race, urban versus rural and, of course, party relationship. There is no gold standard.
In the past, supposed two-person or non-party blue-ribbon committees have not succeeded in creating a fairness model. Now it is suggested that artificial intelligence could do it, but which AI, whose AI, and what will the prompt is? “Pull honest districts?” Who honestly defines? Do you see the problem here?
Before liberals wage war on the election splinter in the eye of the Texas Republicans, they really have to remove the plank from the eye of New England and the exclusion of Gop House districts.
No, the bottom line is that the Texas Democrats have lost the Texas Legislature Fair and Square, and it is the legislative power of Texas that can do redistribution on the basis of the Studies Act.
The only leg that the Democrats of Texas may have to stand on is that what the Republicans do is so unconventional, so from the spirit of the law that criminal civil disobedience is demanded. But if so, why is it not demanded in New England?

Democrats have become addicted to the emergency politics, which calls on wild stunts and violating the law. They shout and shout that we fall into fascism and that we have to wake up!

To be honest, telling voters is that they “have to wake up”, about as effective as I try to get my 15-year-old out of bed before 7 o’clock on a Saturday.
Most Americans do not believe that we are in the middle of an authoritarian emergency. Some do that, especially those who are loud or prominent platforms, but you don’t see Texas voters in their tens of thousands of protesting about redistribution.

In the end it is very likely that the redistribution of Texas will take place, by Hook or by Crook, and the Sturm und Drug will reach the high sky.
But simply remember that when that happens, in the meantime, in the old, legendary New England, the exclusion of Republicans from the Lower House of Congress will continue quickly, and no one, but nobody, will find an eye.
