If someone still believed that Donald Trump has endurance, health and fitness to serve as a president, they got a dose of reality when Trump appeared at the joint press conference with Putin.
The first indication that something was very wrong was when Trump, the meeting host, was postponed to Putin and allowed him to speak first. This caused alarm bells for diplomats and government experts in real time on social media.
What the world was shown was a spectacle that only Putin could love. The Russian dictator got the court to keep comments driven by his very crooked view of history, but when it was Trump’s turn to speak and zoomed in the cameras, Donald Trump seemed every bit of almost eighty years old.
Trump spoke vaguely about a deal, but then said that there is no deal unless Ukraine and Europe agree. To the surprise of nobody, Trump and Putin found many sources of agreement.
Just after one minute and thirty second point of his comments, Trump started talking about the ‘Russian Hoax’, who is not a hoax, as several studies have concluded. By talking about the Russian election interference in this way with Putin next to him, Trump gave the green light to Russia to interfere with future elections.
Trump ended his comments after three minutes and seven seconds.
Reporters raised their hands to ask questions. Trump left his stage to pose for a photo with Putin. Reporters realized that Trump escaped, so they shouted questions to him. Trump responded with a wave when he fled the stage.
Donald Trump looked old and down. The president looked exhausted and did not answer any question, so the press conference was not a press conference at all.
It is clear for everything that the deal that Trump has concluded with Putin means that Ukrainian land is given to Russia.
Donald Trump does not look fit to keep any form of meetings or to negotiate with someone, especially not Putin.
