Thousands of pages of tuna Poke sold in Costco are recalled after a sample has been tested positively on dangerous bacteria, said federal health officials.

“We continue to work with our green onion supplier to determine the cause,” the company said in the release.
The recalled product, with the costco item number of 17193, was packed in transparent plastic clamshell containers with the Kirkland Signature Brand label. The product has a package date of September 18, 2025 and a sales date of 22 September. The product was also sold in the Deli section in Costco Warehouse stores in more than 30 states.

Listeriosis has a series of symptoms that can vary based on the severity and the form of the disease. There are two forms of the disease. The more serious form is called invasive listeriosis and occurs when the Listeria spreads outside the intestines, the FDA said.

If people have the less severe form, they can show mild symptoms such as fever, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. It often remains one to three days, the FDA said.

In the more severe cases, symptoms may be headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions. A Listeria infection can lead to serious pregnancy complications in pregnant women.
