NFL great Myles Garrett scored major style points for the Valentine’s Day note he sent to his girlfriend, Olympic snowboarder Chloe Kim, on Saturday.
Days earlier, Kim came second despite hoping to win three consecutive gold medals in the halfpipe event at the Milan Cortina Games. Anyway, she won silver – another medal in an illustrious career at the Winter Olympics.
Garrett, the Cleveland Browns star who broke the single-season record for sacks, let his sweetheart know Saturday that she is still the GOAT in her sport and in his heart.
“So proud of you!” he wrote with a photo of Kim holding the flag and celebrating her medal. “I’m grateful to be by your side and watch the extraordinary things you do. You fought so much to even get to this point and you deserve everything and more. The 🐐, my love and my Valentine. Happy Valentine’s Day honey.”
“My dearest!” Kim replied. “Thank you for dealing with my craziness these past few months. Grateful for you, forever my Valentine.”
“A month ago I wasn’t even sure I would be able to compete,” she wrote. “I was in the darkest place mentally and felt so much fear coming back. My run in my first final of the season was the most rewarding and validating thing I have ever experienced.”
