This is the story of two teachers in the left-wing mess that is Chicagoland. One teacher supported the murder of Charlie Kirk, as leading school choice advocate Corey DeAngelis discovers for the world to see. She still has her job. Another teacher posted on social media in support of ICE. He no longer has his job. This situation is an indefensible shame. There has been a vicious spread of Chicago’s radical left politics to its once idyllic suburbs.
On September 10, 2025, Tyler Robinson sat atop a roof on a college campus in Utah. He allegedly pointed his gun and fired, putting a bullet through the neck of the legendary Charlie Kirk, a model husband and father. Why? Robinson, who had a transgender lover, despised Kirk’s political views. One such view was the common sense view that biological men should not compete in sports while pretending to be women and competing with biological women. Kirk sought dialogue with all parties; indeed, he was at Utah Valley University that tragic day to take part in it. Robinson, on the other hand, is a left-wing domestic terrorist. He has no interest in dialogue; rather, he believes that killing those he disagrees with is the right thing to do. Robinson will hopefully receive the death penalty if convicted of his barbaric act.

Lucy Martinez is a teacher at Nathan Hale Elementary School in Chicago. Like many radical leftists, Martinez attended one of the farcical “No Kings” protests taking place across the country. However, Martinez did much more than protest against President Donald Trump, the object of the demonstrations. She was filmed pointing a fake gun at her neck. As she did this, she shouted “Bang, boom!” This protest took place in October, the month after Kirk’s murder. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand what Martinez was doing. She ridiculed the murder of Charlie Kirk, just as many so-called professionals — including doctors, nurses, lawyers and even a former Carolina Panthers official — had done. However, the difference between Martinez and other degenerates is that she still has her job. There was little community outrage over her abhorrent behavior.
ICE is the federal agency charged with enforcing our immigration laws. These brave men and women risk their lives to rid our nation of illegal aliens, many of whom are violent – and all of whom are criminals. Radical leftists have deceived ICE agents and their families because these Marxists desire open borders and the resulting destruction of America. These Marxists have led anti-ICE protests across the country, most recently in Minneapolis. The Grammy Awards featured several rants against ICE, including an artist who profanely attacked ICE.
IT’S NOT STUDENTS ORGANIZING ICE WALKOUTS – WHO IS REALLY BEHIND THE NATIONAL PROTESTS
James Heidorn was a physical education teacher at Gary Elementary School in West Chicago, one of the aforementioned once-idyllic Windy City suburbs. He has a different view of ICE; that is, he supports the agency. Heidorn expressed his opinion with a simple message on Facebook: “GO ICE.” Nothing more. He expressed support for a law enforcement agency. The reaction, however, was nothing like that after the Martinez fiasco. There was outrage among parents in the community. Illinois Senator Karina Villa, a pro-illegal leftist alien, denounced the post as hurtful. West Chicago Mayor Daniel Bovey held a listening session where people could come and whine about the mail. And all because a teacher expressed support for law enforcement.

Heidorn was placed on leave after his post, in which he once again only expressed support for a law enforcement agency. Heidorn has now resigned. What if Heidorn had posted “ABOLISH ICE” instead? How about “ICE CREAM IS TERRIBLE!” There is no doubt that the school would not have done anything to him. In other words, this school – a government institution – would be fine with a teacher who is critical of law enforcement. However, a teacher who supports law enforcement will be placed on leave and subject to an investigation. That teacher is now unemployed.

Martinez was never placed on administrative leave after celebrating the murder of Charlie Kirk. Neither Villa nor any other left-wing senator expressed outrage. The mayor did not hold a listening session. Instead, Martinez happily carries on, entrusted to dozens of young, impressionable minds. These are the consequences for a teacher who supported a murder. And the claim that she was just making fun of it, and that mockery is different from support, is ridiculous. Political violence must be condemned because it affects the structure of the Republic. Martinez’s behavior warranted termination because no one who supports the murder of political opponents belongs anywhere near a classroom of young children. Anyone who supports the behavior of which Robinson is accused is a completely sick person in need of profound help.
The educational landscape in Chicagoland is simple and sad. A teacher can support the murder of a political opponent without facing any consequences. Another teacher may support law enforcement, face excoria from local leaders, and lose their job. Chicago is a crime-ridden hellhole, and will remain so as long as the mentality of these leaders controls the government apparatus. This is now clearly spreading to the suburbs as well. Heidorn deserves to be in a classroom; Martinez doesn’t belong anywhere. Yet the opposite is the reality. That reality illustrates Chicago’s left-wing madness.
