The murder of conservative media personality and co-founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, 31, a spouse and father of two, led to a message of grief of the forum of the 48 hostages still held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
“With deep sorrow we mourn the loss of Charlie Kirk,” said hostages and the missing family orum in a statement together with a video from Kirk in a message posted on them Social media accounts.
“His powerful voice will always be reminded because he is at Israel and for supporting the hostages and their families,” said the statement. “We are forever grateful for his relentless solidarity.”

“Our hearts are with his loved ones in this painful time. Can they find comfort in knowing how deep his support was felt,” the forum added.
Kirk received the attention for his deep support for Israel and the hostages held 706 days after the 7 October 2023 attack on the Jewish nation.
Former hostages such as Omer Shem, which was released after more than 500 days in captivity in February, also brought a message of sorrow on Wednesday and said: “Charlie Kirk, one of the strongest and bravest voices for Israel, was only murdered today because he spoke his truth.”
“We can’t get used to this reality,” he added.

Noa Argamani, who was also abducted by Hamas on October 7, 2023, before he was saved by Israel Defense Forces in June 2024, shared the news of Kirk’s murder of Instagram with the message “may his memory be a blessing.”
The concern for the hostages has remained increased after the negotiations between Israel and Hamas have repeatedly failed to reach large hostages since the first phase of an agreement ended in March, with the exception of the American Edan Alexander, which was liberated in May.
Only a few hours prior to the murder of Kirk, President Donald Trump met former hostages and the relatives of the current hostages who are still in the hands of Hamas in the White House.
The meeting came only one day after Israel had produced strikes in Doha, Qatar, on Hamas leadership in a movement that gave international conviction and worried that it could further hinder the negotiations from releasing the hostages, of whom are still being judged as being alive.
Qatar has been an important player in mediation attempts to end the war in Gaza and to give the hostages back, and according to a senior Israeli source, the Hamas leadership that was aimed in Doha was to discuss negotiations after a proposal submitted by Witte Huis Steve Witkoff last week.

Trump condemned the strikes and said that he was “very unhappy” about the incident and told reporters that Israel informed the American army of the strike, but it was “too late to stop the attack.”
“This was a decision made by [Israel’s] Prime minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu, it was not a decision of mine, “said Trump.
Six people were killed in the strike, including a Qatarese safety officer, but Hamas claimed that her leadership survived the attack, the BBC.
Qatar announced on Thursday that it will now hold an Arab-Islamic Top on Sunday and Monday to tackle the Israeli attack.
