Since bursting into the national spotlight, former NFL MVP Cam Newton has been authentically and unapologetically himself.
Whether on the field, or now off in his new content creation world, Newton’s fans and followers are drawn to his heartfelt, no-filter versions of his hit shows “Funky Friday” and “4th & 1 with Cam Newton.” Now, with a new major partnership with Offscript Worldwide, Newton’s reach to the masses will be much greater.
Iconic Sage Productions, the independent production powerhouse founded by Newton, joined Offscript, a creator-owned ecosystem that connects culture-shaping brands and platforms under one roof, including REVOLT, REVOLT Sports and 3BlackDot. The major expansion was announced at the 2026 IAB NewFronts as Offscript, which represents more than 130 creators and produces more than 150 creator-led series reaching more than 250 million subscribers on YouTube alone.

As part of the expansion, Newton’s Iconic Saga will be integrated into Offscript’s creator-led ecosystem, ultimately expanding the reach of Newton’s signature stories.
“If you really think about Offscript, it’s like the ecosystem that bridges so many different facets of our lives, from sports to culture, lifestyle and so many different things,” Newton explained to Fox Business. “That transition was not strange to me. Instead of training to become the best football player or the best athlete, now I just train to be the best content creator I can be.
“I just always want to be a beacon of the person, in many ways, that’s what I’ve come to realize. I’m so happy that Offscript gives me and Iconic Saga the opportunity to continue to believe in our vision, and we’re not able to do these things without great partners like these.”

Content creation is usually thought of as an independent art, but Newton knows that’s not the case, especially now with Offscript.
“It’s similar to when I played football,” he said. “Even though I would probably make a play, and they always use the analogy, ‘Oh my God, he made an incredible play, that’s all about him.’ Well, you still had an offensive lineman, you had receivers who blocked, you had coaches who called the play, you had general managers who judged the team.
“For us, it’s the same. We want to leverage our strengths and collaborate on our weaknesses. That’s what Offscript gives us the opportunity to do: collaborate with their ecosystem to really simplify the business as we know it.”

The content creation game is also about being authentic with your audience, which Newton says is “nothing new” from him. But he also recognizes how today’s consumers can “identify” BS, as he put it.
Just as Iconic Saga preaches authenticity, so does Offscript, which Newton turned to with this partnership. It also helps that Offscript can bridge the gap with global brands by continuing to collaborate with Newton’s content in the future.
“These brands that join, you can also sell them the visual output that people are looking at your platform for,” Newton said. “…The real game changer, so to speak, is when brands align with your message. Brands align with your audience. Brands align with your real value to capture people’s attention. That’s where we stand with Iconic Saga, no different than when it’s ‘Funky Friday’ or ‘4th & 1’.”
Now that this collaboration is underway, that message is also going on tour, with the “4th & 1 College Tailgate Tour.” Iconic Saga runs the show, meaning Newton takes full ownership of the story, meaning he has an unfiltered, authentic connection to the HBCU community.
“4th & 1” travels to America’s HBCU campuses, where live tapings of the show will give fans the opportunity to experience what Newton calls “from the set to the yard.” Whether at home or in person, the tour, which begins in the fall of 2026, will spotlight the student-athletes, academic programs and the unique game-day culture that defines an HBCU.

This and much more is expected as Newton, Iconic Saga and Offscript enter into a partnership aimed at continuing to make an impact at the intersection of sports, culture and lifestyle.
“We’ve always had interests outside the game,” Newton said. “Now I can focus my time, energy and effort not only on creating, but also on working with great partners like Offscript, and strengthening my staff within Iconic Saga to find not just anyone, but the right person who can scale the brand to get the most out of ‘Funky Friday’ and ‘4th & 1’.”
