Californian democrat governor Gavin Newsom’s presidential ambitions are the worst kept secret of Washington. More than three years before the next elections, he is at the campaign track in South Carolina, against immigration -raids on cannabis farms and even politicizing the second family at Disneyland.
Before Newsom comes somewhere near Washington, he must “confront his problem in California,” as even politoico noted. Blessed with incredible natural resources, the Golden State has the highest cost of living in the nation. Nowhere is this trend clearer than in energy, where there is a direct correlation between the wrong policy of Newsom and the overall unprecedition.
Here are three examples.

Californian gas loads rise
With $ 4.51 per Gallon, Californian drivers already pay the most on the pump that is 45% higher than the national average, which reached a four-year low point during the recent vacation on the Independence Day and continued to fall.
Gas prices in California remain much higher than the national average. File: File during commuting on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California, USA.
No matter how bad that sounds, the pain just starts. On July 1, motorists were hit by another 1.6 cents gas load, and the total gas taxes are expected to cost the average household $ 612 during the year. A separate $ 0.05- $ 0.09 tax increase is not expected far behind. The Newsom office praised the fall in gas prices by giving a press release about it that bragged it.
Refineries in California close
Unfortunately, the latest gas load could fade compared to other factors. Industry experts project a gallon gas that may reach $ 8 in the aftermath of the closures of the refinery in California.
Gavin Newsom brings a strategic visit to an important primary state that lifts eyebrows
To make crude oil a usable petroleum product such as gasoline, it must go through the refining process. Earlier this year, the Phillips 66 refinery in Los Angeles and the Valero refinery in Benicia announced plans to close by 2026, so that nearly 20% of the total petrol production of the state was taken, and not to mention hundreds of jobs.
The trend is part of a sad and steady decline that is directly attributed to increasing bureaucracy and regulations. In the 1980s, under the presidential administration of her former governor Ronald Reagan, California had no fewer than 43 operational refineries, a number that dropped to only 14 last year, a decrease of 67%. This is not due to lack of resources. In fact, California has the fifth most oil reserves in the nation, which means that places such as Colorado and Oklahoma are more often associated with industry.
California is the home of extreme green policy
Newsom has removed the oil and gas industry as the ‘polluted heart of this climate crisis’. He accused them of “lying and gushing Californians” and blamed them for “more children who had asthma.”

Along the way he strived for policy to make his state “CO2 neutral” by 2045. That is politically speaking for the end of oil and gas entirely in favor of “cleaner” forms of energy such as wind and sun, which are unreliable, not tested and often dependent on products from China (where about 80% of the solar panels of the world are manufactured).
Steve Hilton: Gavin Newsom’s $ 9 Gas Night Mare looms over the Golden State
A lynchpin of the newspaper of Newsom forced drivers to force electric vehicles. By 2035, less than a decade from now on, 100% of the vehicles sold in California had to be electric under a mandate of the Newsom administration that the US Senate was happy in May.
As painful as it would have been the edict for the nearly 40 million inhabitants of California, the shock waves would extend wide and silk. No fewer than 13 states were on their way to follow where California led.

Newsom makes Rapid-Response website as critics accuse him of priorities of presidential ambitions
For his political honor, Newsom seems to be aware of the unpopularity of some of his policy. He went on Turn Point USA President Charlie Kirk’s Podcast and turned attention by name the concept of biological men who compete with the “unfair” of women’s sports, but that shows the power of the green movement.

Newsom is much more likely to flop over cultural issues than to admit that the green agenda is not abandoned. In the aftermath of President Donald Trump who made the EV team from Ev Mandates, the news administration immediately took legal steps and signed an executive order “doubled” (his words) about his dedication to the nonsensical plan.
The core of the dissatisfaction with the BIDen years was the inflation and high costs of living, making it the top priority for more than six in 10 voters. By making energy expensive, life made it expensive and Americans could not afford for another four years from Biden/Harris Energy policy. Newsom’s stubborn dedication to the failed green agenda, which has failed spectacularly in California, should send his sputtering of the White House before it comes from the starting gates.
