A billionaire in New York opens about his private conversations with President Donald Trump about the mayor’s race of the city and Democratic candidate Zohran MamdaniIncluding what Trump had to say about it this weekend.

Trump has often criticized Mamdani and warns that if he is chosen, New York will ‘never be the same’.
Catsimatidis said that he and Trump spoke about Mamdani for the first time after his primary victory at the beginning of the summer. At the time, he claims that they agreed to see how the race developed closer to November.

“I said to him in July, I said, well, let’s wait until September. Well, I spoke to him on Sunday and I said: September is here. What’s going on?” He remembered.

“He is very worried. And he has to do what he has to do to ensure that New York remains the largest capitalist city in the world.”
The Mamdani platform includes eliminating bust rates, expanding free municipal homes and childcare and the termination of immigration and customs enforcement activities (ICE) in the city.

In the general elections, Mamdani could opposite Republican Curtis Sliwa, the sitting mayor Eric Adams and Cuomo, who remains on the mood as an independent mood.
