It’s been quite a week for the Democratic Party.
On Wednesday night, Senator Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, once fringe figures, held a town hall on CNN to promote their socialist agenda. The next night, the crazy Zhoran Mamdani, the darling of the far left, took the debate stage as the leading candidate for mayor of New York City.
We’ve also heard from Axios that there are plans for First Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., of the left.
Even though the hoodie-rocking senator votes for Democrats 95% of the time, he promotes communism and supports Israel.
FROM AOC TO ZOHRAN MAMDANI, THE Democrats peddle far-left politics
In today’s Democratic Party, these positions are a bridge too far.
What is becoming increasingly clear is that the Democratic Socialists of the American-backed Mamdani is not an ‘extreme’ Democrat. He’s just a normal democrat. Today’s outlier is Fetterman and every other Democrat who will not bow to the new socialist power structure.
Let’s take, for example, President Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants. Fellow Mayor Andrew Cuomo’s policies in this regard cannot really be distinguished from Mamdani’s. Both would keep Gotham a haven and protect violent criminals, including rapists, from the long arm of federal law.
But wait a minute, I know what you’re thinking. Mamdani is the man of the free buses. That’s crazy communism! Cuomo would never support that, right? Except Cuomo supports free subways for as many as 1 million New Yorkers.
In 2020, Americans elected Joe Biden president, believing him to be Ol’ Scranton Joe, a moderate who would curb the excesses of the left in his party and in the White House. It was perhaps the biggest political lie of the 21st century.
Instead of a steady old hand at the wheel, we got far-left calligraphy from the bearers of Biden’s autopen who opened our borders, fueled crime, drove inflation through the roof, and targeted conservatives and Catholics for federal investigation.
And that was under the so-called moderate Joe.
We need to stop pretending that Mamdani is out of step with the mainstream Democratic Party. He is the mainstream Democratic Party.

For every Fetterman who voices him, there are dozens of Democrats who praise his once-in-a-generation political skills. Even top leaders like Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Hakeem Jeffries seem terrified of this communist Cheshire cat.
The real proof in the real pudding is that socialists, funded by the DSA, across America are privileging so-called mainstream Democrats left and right, and yet the mainstream Democrats are not fighting back at all. They just say, “Please don’t focus on me.”
AOC was elected to Congress in 2018, which she says means we only have five years to go before climate change destroys the planet. But can any right-thinking observer at the time suggest that her party did not move drastically in its socialist direction?
Andrew Cuomo’s fear, and the reason why most of the city’s Republican voters are in no mood to save his candidacy, is that he will still govern as a socialist, especially in Gotham’s far-left City Council.

At that point, one of the two leading political parties in the United States of America will be fully socialist for the first time, a potential disaster for our nation.
The bottom line is that, at least in the short term, conservatives should stop hoping that a rational Democratic Party can emerge from the parade of far-left lunatics currently leading them. It may happen someday, but it won’t happen anytime soon.

The Democrats want to have their sustainably produced, taxpayer-funded pro-trans cake (as long as it’s not made in Israel) and eat it too. No, they’re just socialists, and the sooner we accept that, the better.
Perhaps in the future there will be another Bill Clinton who will push the Democrats back into moderate reality, as he did in 1992, but don’t hold your breath. In the thirty years since, Democrats have manipulated election laws to prevent just such a possibility.
Why does New York City have ranked choice voting to help far-left candidates in the primaries, but no ranked choice voting to help them in the general election? It’s the election of Zoran Mamdanis, and as the leading Democrat in New York, Cuomo simply sat back and watched it happen.
There are two parties in America today: the Republicans and the Socialists. To put it another way, at least for now, it’s just downright dishonesty.
