Senator Bernie Sanders knows that the bill that taxes for the richest Americans will leave at the expense of health care and food for tens of millions of Americans, but the fight has just begun.
Sen. Sanders said in a statement:
Let’s be clear. In a time of unprecedented income and wealth inequality, the passage of Trump’s so -called ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ of the house today represents the greatest transfer of richness from the working class to the obscene rich in American history.
This account includes the greatest reduction ever for Medicaid to pay for the largest tax benefits for billionaires we have ever seen.
As a result of this legislation, more than 16 million Americans will lose their health care, 50,000 Americans will die unnecessarily, one in four nursing homes in America can be forced to close, 30% of Americans who receive first -line care in the community that is unable to go to university.
Make no mistake: this bill is a death sentence for working class and Americans with a low income.
And for what? The Republicans inflict all this pain in the working class to distribute a tax benefits of $ 1 trillion to the top 1% and a tax benefits of $ 900 billion for large companies.
That is moral obscene. In America you do not get any food from the mouth of hungry children, so that billionaires can still get tax benefits.
Every member of the congress who voted for this disastrous piece of legislation must pay a prize at the polls during the next elections. They don’t deserve to be re -elected and they have to be defeated.
Sen. Sanders was right. This bill will be a death sentence for working class and poor Americans. The poorest Americans, the people who have the least, were already the most vulnerable members of society, and they are those with the greatest risk of damage.
The people who earn a lot of money will flourish, while all others will be confronted with a certain degree of pain, whether it is related to health insurance, job losses or higher prices.
The only chance that the country must start to undo this damage is to kick Republicans out of power.
Republicans have deliberately damaged millions of people, and the voters will have to be the ones who let them pay.
