Australia to recognize the Palestinian state: ‘Humanity’s best hope’
Albanian announced last week that Australia will recognize a Palestinian state in September by the General Assembly of the United Nations. The relocation follows comparable obligations of the UK, France and Canada. Moreover, Australia has also canceled the visa of the religious Zionist party legislator Simcha Rothman, part of the Coalition of Netanyahu.
Rothman would start a “solidarity tour” to meet the Jewish community of Australia while struggling with rising anti -Semitism.
“The timing of the cancellation at the last minute was hateful and intended to get the Australian Jewish community maximum damage. Mr Rothman received his cancellation on the day he went to the airport for his flight,” said Australian Jewish Association (AJA) CEO Robert Gregory placed in a statement in the group. “The message of the Albanian government to Jews is clear and we urge all Jews to seriously consider whether it is safe for them to visit Australia under this government.”
Despite the prohibition, AJA ensured that Rothman virtually appealed to the Jewish community and said, “The show will continue” and “the Jews haters will not win.”
“The Jewish community will not bow to Tony Burke or Penny Wong. Instead of many events we will hold a large common event where Simcha will appeal to the Jewish community via Zoom,” Aja announced X.

Anti -Semitic attackers focus violently on Synagogue, Israeli restaurant in Australia
“Senior figures in the Australian government were radical left-wing activists in their youth, and their policy feeds division and anti-Semitism. It is sad to see that the Australian government breaks down its long-term friendship with Israel. Many in Australia will hope that the United States will take action,” Add to the antisemitism.
In response, the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said that he would withdraw visa for Australian representatives of the Palestinian authority. He also led the Israel embassy in Canberra to “carefully examine any official Australian visa application.”
“Although anti -Semitism is raging in Australia, including manifestations of violence against Jews and Jewish institutions, the Australian government chooses to feed it by false accusations, as if the visit of Israeli figures will disrupt public order and the Muslim population of Australia will be damaged,” wrote Sa’ar on X.
Aja praised Sa’ar’s decision and said that “the disgusting anti -Semitism of the Albanian government deserves a strong reaction.”
