TRUMP SIGNS EXECUTIVE ORDER ALLOWING TIKTOK DEAL TO CONTINUE
Savasta shared how he first felt when he was approached with the new opportunity.
“Well, my first reaction was, I didn’t even know — I was literally speechless because AriZona is one of my favorite drinks,” the 9-year-old said.
Christian Savasta, also known as ‘The Rizzler’, and Isaac Larian, CEO of MGA Entertainment, join ‘The Claman Countdown’.
After working with figures like former basketball player Shaquille O’Neal and businesswoman Bethenny Frankel, Vultaggio explained how AriZona’s new beverage collaboration started as an April Fool’s joke.
“My sons were involved, and they put it out there as a tease. And then people got excited, and that’s when we said, ‘Let’s do it,'” he recalls. “And we met Chris, and here we are.”
The drink’s founder revealed that AriZona had sold “thousands of cans” in just a few weeks and called Savasta a “strong negotiator.”
“We had a lot of negotiations with him, his mother and his father… and we came to a deal. Then he came to the factory to visit the factory where we make it, and I met him for the first time,” Vultaggio said. “We formulated the potion together in the laboratory, and it all happened very quickly.”
THE 99 CENT PRICE IN ARIZONA MAY FINALLY END AFTER 30 YEARS – RATES MAY BE TO BLAME
He went on to ask how President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canadian aluminum will affect the prices of AriZona’s canned drinks, which carried the distinctive 99-cent label, since the company imports 20% of its aluminum from Canada.
Aluminum prices recently hit a three-and-a-half-year high, Claman noted, and are currently around $2,830 per ton.
“At some point, shouldn’t you bend before you break?” she asked Vultaggio.
Don Vultaggio, the chairman and co-founder of AriZona Beverages, says people don’t need another price increase right now.
“It’s been a pretty expensive year for us in terms of buying aluminum,” the founder said. “But the good news is that we compensate by selling more, and some of those things are within our control.”
Most of AriZona’s aluminum is recycled in the U.S., Vultaggio explains.
He showed no doubt whatsoever about the family business’s latest marketing venture.

“This is nice because it appeals to a younger audience, where some do [previous collaborations] were more for older groups,” Vultaggio said. “I got a lot of information from my kids about this category, and we played with it – and it works really well.”
