A plane with nearly 50 people on board reportedly crashed into the Russian Far East on Thursday and local emergency services found the wreck.
The Ministry of Emergency situations of the country said that search crews found the burning hull of the plane on a hill south of his planned destination in the city of Tynda, which is located near the Russian border with China.
Images of the reported crash site spread by Russian state media show debris spread over dense forest, surrounded by plumes of smoke.

A first air inspection of the site suggested that there were no survivors, said the Russian news agency Interfax, said not further mentioned sources in the emergency services. The sources also said that there were difficult weather conditions in the area.

The office of the public prosecutor said the plane was trying a second approach while trying to land when contact was lost.

Forty-three passengers, including five children, as well as six crew members were aboard the AN-24 passenger plane while it traveled from the city of Blagoveshchensk on the Russian-Chinese border to the city of Tynda, said regional government Vasily Orlov.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency situations reported that 48 people were aboard the flight, which was managed by Angara Airlines in Siberia. The reason for the discrepancy was not immediately clear.
