Over the past 250 years, our workers and women have laid the foundation of our country. They paved roads, built bridges and raised the skyscrapers that form our landscape. Their tireless efforts continue to stimulate progress and prosperity.
We celebrate these workers the American workers who have taken a huge vastness of New Frontier and have cut a path for communities and industries to thrive. For two and a half centuries, these workers supported our companies and maintained the basis of our success: the family.
As the mother of twin girls and a new grandmother, I understand that the reason behind our 9-to-5 is the people we come together around the kitchen table. Our wage earners not only hit the clock to stay busy. Their work has a goal: supporting the next generation.

That is why we welcome the work ethics and pride that the American employee applies to their work, because they not only let the economy grow – they prove that the American dream lives and is good for future generations.
Trump’s ‘One Big, Beautiful Bill’ could strengthen the economic legacy for decades
At the Ministry of Labor we will keep our foot on gas and accelerate in the Golden Age of America. Prosperity is on the horizon, with real average weekly income at their highest level since the last time President Donald Trump was in office.
We do what is needed to ensure that as new, mortgage -paying jobs are created, trained employees are ready and are able to fill them. In that effort, employees in that effort have been witnessing since January of an increase in indigenous employment with 2,462,000.
To continue to stimulate this progress, President Trump has informed the labor department of a mission to make America skilled again. That is the drum that I keep beating. It will require time and effort, but it will provide dividends for our employees and their families.
While we create new opportunities for the American employee, I have been to the ground and I talk to people throughout the country whose lives inform our policy. I find out what they need at the federal level and how we can best serve them in Washington.
Do the rates of President Trump actually work?
I am halfway through my 50-states of America on the work tour, and a recurring theme has been the willingness to work for ensuring that our labor force is prepared and trained for the challenges of tomorrow. From decades of political neglect, the American employee was placed on the back burner and their best interests were ignored.
Now the Trump administration is all about, so that our employees are placed at the height of our economic vision. We restore the Made in America Spirit that defined the establishment of our country.
On just over 200 days after President Trump’s incredible second term, we have seen that the economy responds quickly to better trade agreements and healthy work policy – especially in the private sector. There has been more than $ 8 trillion in domestic investments, which led to half a million jobs in the private sector being created since the inauguration day.
The wages of the core also rose by 1.4% last year on the second fastest increase before the start of a new term. Even better, instead of the inflation that surpasses wages, as under President Joe Biden for 26 consecutive months, real wages have risen every month since President Trump returned to office.
Trump’s most important trade victories can be rocket fuel for the American economy
And we have just started.
With this expectation-to-rise courses and wage growth, I work together with my colleagues in the administration to keep the red-hot economy strong. The departments of labor, trade and education have merged to make a plan of five safe, called the American talent strategy. This extensive strategy will help us expand access to well -paid jobs, to build skilled talent pipelines for critical industries, equip the workforce with artificial intelligence skills and to relocate the US as the global economic leader.
To bring further lighting to hard -working families, I am determined to get a hard -handed government out of their pockets. At the Ministry of Labor we have announced a historic 63 deregulating actions to do exactly that. We cut bureaucracy and make it easier for employees to love their hard -earned money.
My team also announced $ 30 million in subsidy options through the industrial-driven skills training fund. This money will accelerate the innovation of staff and pay throughout the country throughout the country, so that a financial boost is entitled to the people who need it.
President Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful Bill’ will release parallel prosperity
What is more, our future will not be forged in the halls of the universities, but by the grain of trained employees, so I coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Work together with states to expose even more students to the transactions and to offer a springboard in the workforce that does not depend on a traditional four -year -old grade. Trade School registration has already reached the highest level that has ever been included, and we will ensure that it continues to rise.
In accordance with these goals, the president signed his only Big Beautiful Bill Act by law and Pell subsidies expanded to students who follow technical education and skills training. Not only will this law of the country unlock even more opportunities for future traders and women, but it will also add thousands of dollars to the salary of every employee by historical tax cuts.
Between the unlocked Pell Grant opportunities and the president’s guideline to recruit more students, it is crystal clear – we are on our way to creating a million new active student places nationwide. Since January, the Department of Labor has registered 1,736 new registered internship programs that have been launched nationally and more than 183,000 new students.

On this working day, and every day, we recognize the impact of our students, traders, blue key employees and owners of small companies. And there is enough to look forward to when the Department of Labor launches our official celebration of the 250th anniversary of our big nation.
With President Trump first as the most pro-worker president in generations, Labor remains at the forefront of our first agenda in America. Thanks to our negotiator, the future looks increasingly clearer and brighter for the American employee.
