Reigning Olympic champion Alysa Liu took the stage at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday evening to present Taylor Swift with not one, but six awards.
“She is the GOAT of music,” Liu, who won gold in both the team figure skating event and the individual women’s event in February, said while the prices were announced. “She lent her voice and music to narrate the video introducing me and the other person Blade angels. I have to say I think that’s why we won.”

Swift won the title of Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video and Favorite Tour Style in one fell swoop. Earlier in the evening she was awarded Pop Album of the Year, bringing her tally for the evening to seven.
“I want to first say that I received this award from Alysa – you have brought me so much happiness, and everyone else so much happiness, with your performances. And I was inspired by how much dedication, work, effort and love you have for what you do,” Swift told Liu in her speech.
Liu, who retired from figure skating at the age of 16 before returning two years later, dazzled the crowd at Milan’s 2026 Cortina Games with her free skate to Donna Summer’s ‘MacArthur Park’. The now 20-year-old was hailed as a refreshing change for the sport thanks to her focus on individuality and having fun while competing. She, along with fellow skaters Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito, formed the “Blade Angels” for Team USA.
Swift called the trio ‘three American showgirls on ice’ while narrating a hype reel for the athletes prior to the Games during her song ‘Opalite’.
“Joy is fueling her now,” Swift said of Liu in the video.

“I love being an artist. I love writing songs more than anything in the world,” the singer said Thursday evening.
“I didn’t think I was an artist when I first started. It was a hobby. It was a hobby and then it was my favorite hobby,” she told the audience, which included fiancé Travis Kelce, before telling audience members to follow their passions without seeking outside approval.
“If I had one hope for you, I would say I hope you can nurture your hobby and your passion, just between you and that craft,” Swift added.
