The deadly shooting at one New York City High-Rise Office Building Monday Night raises new questions for CEOs and companies while trying to protect their workforce against violent criminals.
The shooting on Monday evening at 345 Park Ave. Claimed the lives of four victims after the shooter arrived the building that is home to the NFL headquarters, investment company Blackstone and real estate company Rudin Management, together with an office for accounting firm KPMG. One of the victims was a NYPD officer.
The shooter, identified as Shane Tamura, left a vehicle with double parked, walked over the square and entered the building where he opened the fire in the lobby. He then continued his shooting on the upper floors after he had used the lift in what was reportedly an attempt to reach the offices of the NFL before he shot himself.
The killing in an office Building in Midtown Manhattan follows the murder of the Brian Thompson of the United Healthcare CEO in New York City less than a year ago. Thompson was killed in the city for the annual investor day of the company, and public prosecutors argued that his accused murderer, Luigi Mangione, deliberately pointed Thompson because of his status as CEO of an important health insurance policies.

Gagliano said that companies will probably re -evaluate their security position in terms of the presence of guards inside and outside inputs, and the planning for managers will continue when they travel and how they reach their destinations.
He also noted that health care responded to the murder of the CEO of the United Healthcare with some simple measures, such as taking biographical photos of managers Off company websites and probably changes in security schemes.
“It is clear that this has become a big problem in health care, and I guarantee that all other companies, just like United Healthcare, have changed their strategies.
